I really enjoyed using Prezi and was quite impressed with myself! In reality, it was quite easy to use and I think it would be so beneficial to show the kids because it will hold their interest. I know that at my level, I could not use it interactively, but I could use it when I do professional development courses for the i-pad. this would be really beneficial since our pre-k's are on different campuses and it would be easy to share. I did try voki, but I really am not one for avatars. I get too caught up in appearance rather than the content. If that is my case, I am sure it would happen to many people that choose to use this program.
You mentioned using Prezi for professional development courses for the iPad, have you tried the Prezi iPod app yet? I was intrigued when I discovered that the program was so iPad friendly, but I was also curious to see how the iPad version works. Hopefully, the iPad app will help make your use of Prezi a little more interactive too.
ReplyDeleteI have downloaded prezi for the iPad, but it os only for viewing. I could not figure out how to make it interactive. Unless I am missing something, I do not think it is possible.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best Prezis I have recently seen was a learning contract for students. In each title of an activity, the teacher put the requirements within a letter and the students had no problem finding the information about the activity because it was within the title. I will have to try using an iPad with Prezi but for now, on my desktop, I get seasick watching them! Perhaps smaller is better.
