I used webspiration for my diagram because it was simple and it allowed me to create the cycle I chose without any problems. I think that all the programs were interesting and I love the idea of collaborative brainstorming, especially because there are three different campuses for my school district and being able to collaborate is difficult. Traveling between schools is costly and time-consuming. it would be better to work on curriculum and assessments if we could use these tools to communicate and devise lesson plans and professional development ideas.
Check out my simple diagram
I think the children could understand it and older grades could fill in text to add to the presentation. i am open to suggestions for improvement!
I like that you discuss the ways that these tools can be used for professional collaboration and for the students. I think it helps the students embrace the tools when they see teachers model them.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of using these kind of tools to collaborate on curriculum is a great idea. We are going through rewriting our math and English curriculum and using a tool like webspiration or gliffy to diagram where we are and where we are going would be great. We have three different elementary building that do different things and for all of them to see a flow chart on how it should be would be helpful.
